Tandia continues with our ongoing vigilance and proactive measures to ensure the personal and financial health and safety of our members, employees and communities in a socially responsible way. While the COVID-19 risk remains for the foreseeable future, over the last few months we have installed and implemented a variety of sanitation and safety features and protocols throughout our branches to minimize the risk for our members and our employees while remaining accessible for your essential financial needs.

Revised Branch Hours effective Monday October 5th

Early in the pandemic, we adjusted our operations to reduce the risk to members and employees. This included significantly reducing branch hours and limiting cash services. While we are not yet returning to our normal hours or full cash services, with our sanitation and safety protocols well-entrenched, we are ready to expand our branch hours further to accommodate many members who have returned to work including educational employees.

This includes re-opening our Stoney Creek, Burlington and Brantford branches on Saturdays from 10 am to 1pm. Please note, while we recently re-opened our Ancaster branch, our Hamilton James Street branch will remain closed in anticipation of the new downtown location at 280 Barton Street West opening later this fall.

We continue to respectfully request that branch visits to any location be limited to essential, services that cannot be conducted online or over the phone and that social distancing is practiced -- we have floor decals in place to help with this. In accordance with local bylaws, masks or face-coverings are required in all locations for the duration of your visit, including appointments. If you are feeling unwell, please call us for assistance rather than visiting a branch.

Coming soon: a better mobile app experience

In 2019, Tandia upgraded the foundation for our website and digital banking services so that we can now offer you more. In July 2020 we launched our new desktop online banking platform that delivers a lighter, more agile and responsive experience. We are preparing to do the same for Tandia™ Mobile.

During this pandemic period, we recognize the importance of digital banking to our members. We anticipate a seamless launch of the new mobile app in the coming weeks. Visit our website for updates on the launch date and to see and learn more.

Tandia offers many safe and contactless options for applying for a mortgage including online and by telephone appointment and you can conveniently book your own appointment on our website. When it comes time to finalize the paperwork, Tandia offers eSign in most circumstances -- a secure and remote way for you to provide your signature via email from the safety of home.

Maybe you are not in the market for a new mortgage but know someone who is, or, you have a mortgage at another financial institution. We’ve got great news for you too!
