On Friday December 4th, the Medical Officer of Health for the City of Hamilton issued special new instructions in the battle against rising case numbers in the area. While these location-specific initiatives may seem challenging, it’s about all of us doing what we need to do in this region to help fight the spread of COVID-19.
For City of Hamilton Branches which include the Ancaster, Barton Street, Stoney Creek and Upper Wentworth branches, the following measures are now in place:
You will be safely greeted at the entrance by a staff member and will be asked screening questions. A mask or face covering is also required in accordance with the city bylaw for entrance and we ask that you use the provided hand sanitizer before proceeding into the branch. We regret that members who do not pass screening will be advised that they cannot enter the branch and that they should self-isolate and seek assessment and testing.
We now have also implemented member capacity limits at each branch location. If the limit is reached the you may be advised to momentarily wait outside. We respectfully remind you to please not attend any branch if you are feeling unwell. You are always welcome to call your branch or our Member Solutions Centre for options and assistance in serving your financial needs without visiting a branch.

Our new Hamilton downtown branch at 280 Barton Street West (near Locke Street North) is now open with a street-accessible ATM and best of all, an adjacent parking lot with free parking.
Due to the recently added public health measures, we are changing the temporary hours for both the new Barton Street and Stoney Creek branches to be closed on Saturdays, starting Saturday December 19.We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The Upper Wentworth, Ancaster, Brantford and Burlington locations are alternative branches with Saturday hours. Please click below for our updated and complete list of Branch Hours and Locations.
Our Member Solutions Centre telephone hours remain as follows: Monday through Wednesday and Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, Thursday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturday 9 am to 3 pm.
